USA’s Survivor 20 – Episode 4

Upon arrival from TC, Coach pulls Tyson to the side and has an emotional break down, wanting to quit the game. He truly doesn’t understand why people don’t like him. Tyson gives him a nice pick-me-up, telling him that if he wants to change people’s thoughts on him he’ll need to stop telling stories and to leave the feathers out of his hair. After Tyson tells the tribe what happened, Rob goes to Coach and reassures Coach that he has nothing to worry about and to trust him.

Tree Mail comes, letting the players choose their own rewards for the challenge. It’s an obvious product placement for Sears, but hey! They bring us our favorite show, so I say…
Go shop there! I want a season 21! Ha!

Reward Challenge time! Wee!

This challenge was last seen in Fiji. It’s the one Sylvia fell on her tushy. Hehe. The players will pair off and slide down a slippery course to retreive a number. Once they get to the end of the course they’ll then throw the ball in a basket. First in the pair to make a basket win a point. First tribe to 4 points wins. Villains chose to sit Parvati out.
Round 1…Tom vs Coach (Ball 14). They are both on equal grounds throughout the slide and reach the basket at the same time. Coach makes his shot first though.

Round 2…Russell vs Cirie (Ball 9). Russell launches across the course while Cirie ends up having to crawl. Poor Cirie! Just when she makes it to the basket area…Russell makes his shot.

Round 3…Candice vs Courtney (Ball 2). It’s pretty even, but Courtney has a little troubel getting her ball. It’s just enough time for Candice to score.

Round 4…Amanda vs Jerri (Ball 6). Pretty even all the way. Jerri simply scores first.

Round 5…James vs Sandra (Ball 5). James gets a great slide and makes his shot. The whole time Sandra is still crawling to her number.

Round 6…Rupert vs Danielle (Ball 1). Danielle has the lead but drops her ball near the end. They both fail a couple times with their ball throwing. Eventually though, Rupert makes his shot. I’m so glad Rupert is finally becoming a useful member of the tribe.

Round 7…Colby vs Tyson (Ball 10). Both do well and get to the end pretty fast. But Tyson makes the shot first, giving the Villains the win.

Back at camp, the Villains are rummaging through their items. With everyone hovered over the tool box, checking the pieces out and complaining about the lack of a machete, Russell grabs a knife and pulls it out. At the same time, out comes a rolled up scroll. Rob picks it up and reads it for all to hear. It’s obviously a clue to the Hidden Immunity Idol. I find it amazing how neither Russell or Rob thought…“Hm. This could be something I should keep to myself”.

So immediately the tribe agrees to simply IGNORE IT! They all agree to leave it where it is and out of the game. But of course Russell decides this is stupid and goes off for a “walk”. Sandra, doing her sneaky thang, follows him and watches him in his hunt. She then reports back to the rest of the tribe. They then agree to vote him out next for being sneaky.

Back at the Heroes tribe, they finally open their coffee to find a clue to the HII as well. Again, everyone from the tribe heard of it. The difference with this tribe is that everyone immediately runs out to find it! Ha! Every man for themself! Tom found it without much difficulty. He hid it in his sock, but Amanda saw him hide it. And the blabber mouth she is…she told everyone. More on this after…

The Immunity Challenge!

OMGerd! It’s the challenge from Samoa that was never finished! Courtney and Sandra sit out for the Villains.
Rob and Tom are placed inside the balls, with Tom/Rupert and Tyson/Coach blindly guiding them to the puzzle section. This challenge was literally head to head every step of the way. There were no difficulties either. The Villains did win it, but barely. The Heroes had their ball literally right next to the hole when they lost.

The Heroes are strategizing now! At first it seems obvious. Tom and Colby are still on the outs. Tom has the HII. So, split the votes 3-3 on them. That way the idol is played and one still go home. However, JT sticks to his flip flop, backstabby ways. He first convinces Amanda/James to team with Colby/Tom in getting rid of Candice.

Amanda runs to Cirie, telling her the new plan. Cirie, literally doing a facepalm, tells her she’s stupid and snaps her out of it. Cirie gets things back the way they originally were. Sadly, JT was sneaking in the back. He heard everything and ran back to Tom. Now, JT wants to side with Colby/Tom to get rid of Cirie. It could work easily too. Since the plan is now to split the votes 3-3-2 with the majority being Colby and Tom…all JT has to do is side with Colby/Tom to make the vote 3-3-2 with the majority on Tom and Cirie. Tom play his idol…Cirie goes home. UGH! I don’t want Cirie to goooooo!!

Tree House Tribal Council Time, Yo!
Probst asks JT what is needed when push comes to shove. In an ironic answer, JT says that keeping people who will keep their word to him is most important. This is coming from a man who flopped to boot Sugar then flopped to boot Steph and is now planning to flop again to boot Cirie. When asked the same question, Rupert revealed that he’ll vote based on his word and alliances DESPITE the fact he believes it’s the wrong decision. He actually admits it! He stuns me!

In the end it’s 3-3-2, with an idol played by Tom…
In an interview with Dalton Ross, we learned that Cirie underestimated HERSELF! She admited that going into HvH she knew she would be considered a threat, but not as much as a threat as other’s saw her. Had she known the degree of a threat that others saw her being, she’d have played a different game. We also learn that Cire was hoping and working to have Candice be her #1 ally for this game, not Amanda as the show has been hinting.
