La Fattoria – Giovanna Evicted, Marina leaves, Milo enters

Posted in Dan's Blog, Farm (The), La Fattoria 4 Italy on March 17th, 2009 by Dan

Marina, the 67 year old cancer patient, who tried to prove that cancer patients can take on tough competition, was removed from the game in episode two of La Fattoria. This was a disappointment for me, simply because I wanted to see her last, and meet her goal. She finally got too sick, and the producers basically removed her from the game due to her health reasons. Marina says it was the first time she feared dying. Marina’s husband wasn’t very happy with this, as he calls this discrimination, and plans to protest.

So, Milo enters the farm. Milo is an entrepreneur, and he was the winner of Grande Fratello 7, and I believe he replaces Marina. Giovanna was evicted, racking up 78% of the votes. The episode is left with Marianne and Morena nominated. Giovanna was one of the girls I liked, just by reading the bio. Was she any good? Apparently, someone else entered the house, but the Canale 5 website didn’t list anything.

What I would like is for you to email me at mapleleaf_melee18@hotmail.com to see you give me some more information, for all you people out there who do follow up with this show. I’m struggling with this, as I couldn’t find any information on Giovanna’s eviction. Also, you can comment me.

La Fattoria – Daniela Evicted, participants “want to be themselves”

Posted in Dan's Blog, Farm (The), La Fattoria 4 Italy on March 13th, 2009 by Dan

So, tell me why this woman, Daniela, decides to leave Grande Fratello 9, in hopes of not losing her job, go on ANOTHER reality show? Did she lose her job already? I don’t get it, someone can come and fill me in. Anyways, it didn’t help, considering she was the first to be evicted from La Fattoria. She was evicted with 75% of the votes, asking her to leave. Below is a source about her eviction. In another article, it says Daniela Martani was disappointed, saying she’d like to complete at least one Reality show. Hey Daniela, there’s almost 100 shows there in the U.S. and they’re not going to stop producing them any time soon. She can come here and choose a few. This second article explains that Barbara and Giovanna are the next two nominated.

I really wish that I spoke Italian and could understand it when I watched it on you tube, or at least bring this show over here to where I’m at, so that I can watch this. I’d probably watch it too, if/when it comes to the United States. I really encourage someone to blog about it here in English.

Judging from a blog I see here, it seems these people were interested in people seeing who they really are, and that these people are trying to be themselves. “I am very happy to have this experience, because it is a great way to show everyone who Marina Ripa Di Meana really is” says Marina. “My GF adventure was over too soon, as I have been punished, and the public had no way to look up to the bottom to who Daniela Martani is” says Daniela. “I am happy to go to the farm so, because, at least, all at home can see who Marco Baldini is” says Marco Baldini. It would be a fantastic experience: to see who Marianne Puglia really is” says Marianne. Read more here:

La Fattoria 4 – Thoughts of The Cast

Posted in Dan's Blog, Farm (The), La Fattoria 4 Italy on March 8th, 2009 by Dan

Ok, this is my first time ever seeing the Farm, since it’s not where I live. I’ve never seen it played, and from what I read, it’s the style of a Big Brother’s public vote, but the nominees are decided by like a winning group of people who won a challenge, or something, I guess I’ll find out. So, this is my first time following a foreign show from start-to-finish. I would watch you tube videos, but my main source is getting the information from it’s official site. All cast members will receive facts, as it’s hard for me to judge what they’ll be capable from, since I’ve never seen this series.

Barbara Guerra – She is a 30 year old single model born in Mariano Comense. It says in her biography that she hates pasta, ha, so she doesn’t fit the Italian stereotype.

Carla Velli – She is a 27 year old single model born in Venice. She dreams of becoming a sports journalist. She claims the work on the farm won’t bother her, as long as the hens stay far away.

Ciro Petrone – A 21 year old single actor from Napoli. Before his acting career took off, he worked with small parts, the eventually got better roles. He was given “Actor of 2008” award, and he claims he is searching for a beautiful girl.

Daniela Martani – A 35 year old flight assistant from Rome. She is described to be tough, combative, and ironic. Se looks to entering the real world of entertainment. She has several quarrels with her sister.

Fabrizio Corona – A 34 year old separated from marriage and entrepreneur from Catania. Fabrizio loves sad-melodic Italian rock, and claims to be a free spirit. He was once arrested, but the bio didn’t mention why.

Linda Batista – A 36 year old producer/actress from Salvator de Bahia. She’s divorced and describes her relationship to be very bubbly, and they fought often. She has produced many films, and hopes to avoid pigs and horses while at the Farm.

Giovanna Rei – A 36 year old single actress from Napoli. She wanted to become an architect, but got distracted with theatre, and has a sister with leukemia. She loves animals and her friends claim she’s loyal and reliable.

Marco Baldini – A 49 year old radio/TV presenter from Florence. He started working with radio at age 21. And he seems to be very dedicated to Radio Production.

Marianne Puglia – A 24 year old single model from La Victoria, Venezuela. She immigrated to Italy hoping to become famous, s\thinking The Farm/La Fattoria will help. After high school, she wanted to become a journalist.

Marina Ripa de Meana – A 67 year old married fashion designer and actress from Roma. She is writer of a book “My First 40 Years, which was best selling. She says over the years, she’s become extremely libertarian. Marina has lung cancer, and is doing this show to show to prove you can live with cancer.

Morena Zapparoli – A 42 year old journalist and widow from Milan. Experience of the Farm would be a “break of light” for her. She was host of Canale 5’s “Face to Face”.

Riccardo Sardona – A 37 year old engaged actor from Milan. He is an actor who’s appeared in a few movies, and was on Dancing with The Stars season 4. He has a tight bond with his mother, who, I believe, is apparently in Canada.

Rocco Pietrantonio – A single TV conductor, aged 26. He claims that becoming famous would let him learn and dream. He describes himself as stubborn, impulsive, and capricious.

So, this cast is, like, all celebrity. I personally am the few North American Reality fan who doesn’t have a problem with celebrities being on Reality TV. I think they have an OK bunch, and can’t wait to see how they do. I personally think they should have an even or closer-to-even gender balance. I really like how Marina is trying to prove you can be a Reality Star and cancer patient at the same time. Giovanna and Marianne stick out a little for me though, and I like Ciro too. However, that’s just first impressions from a show I know very little about. This is the first foreign show I plan on finishing, and I really am looking forward to it.
