I’m A Celebrity 9 UK – Joe goes

Posted in Graham's Blog, I'm A Celebrity 9 UK, I'm A Celebrity GMOOH on November 30th, 2009 by World of BB

Episode 13: Saturday 28th November
The celebs wake up and are talking about which of the three nominees will go. They we are shown their reactions to Sam’s departure.

They then talk about winning. Jimmy says he thinks Gino is favourite to win. George thinks it will be Stuart and Gino as the final 2. Sabrina thinks Stuart will be in the final, but Stuart disagrees.

Today’s trial is called Great Barrier Grief. The group choose Justin to do it as he is a very strong swimmer. He has to enter underwater chambers and do puzzles to get stars. He has 10 minutes to do it. He enters the first chamber which has eels in them. He gets his first star but then bangs his head on the chamber wall. The trial is immediately stopped and he is examined by the medic. He has a cut above his nose but it able to continue.

The second chamber has water spiders and crocodiles in it and he gets a bit freaked out by the spiders. The third chamber contained toads and yabbis. At the end of the trial he got the maximum 8 stars.

For today’s celebrity chest, Gino and Joe are chosen by the producers. Gino has to dress up in a chicken costume and drops eggs into a basket 200 feet below (Gino is scared of heights). They get the chest but again get the question wrong so don’t win the luxury prize.

The rest of the show is basically just a lot of non-memorable chat and a dull speed dating task. At the end of the show the hosts go into camp and tell them that Joe and Stuart receivedthe fewest public votes and are nominated for elimination. They will have to do a head to head bush tucker trial called Jungle Jail, with the loser being eliminated.

Episode 14: Sunday 29th November
The celebs discuss what they think jungle jail will entail.

Then we move on to the trial. Stuart and Joe are locked in a jail cell. The first one to escape and ring a bell will win. In order to escape they need to find various padlock combinations and keys. Some keys are hidden in an escape tunnel which contains over 10,000 critters.

Stuart is the first to find the combination and get into the escape tunnel. Joe is stuck in his cell. In the end Stuart wins the trial before Joe has even found his first combination lock. So Joe is the next celebrity to be eliminated.

Joe is interviewed live by the hosts and he says that he is glad to be out. He sames Kim drove him mad as she never stops talking. He wants Stuart to win.

Stuart returns to the camp and everyone is happy to see him as they wanted him to win.

Today’s celebrity chest is done by Sabrina and Justin. They had to ride on a roundabout and grab a key. They get the chest and again get the answer to the question wrong. They now have 1 correct and 7 incorrect answers for the chests, which is pretty poor considering that all the questions are multiple choice with only 2 answers.

The next segment is about Justin freaking out whenever he feels something land on him. Later, they are given a treasure hunt to do where they win a prize of one phone call home, After lots of discussion they give the phone call to George.

They are also given a small bottle of wine each which makes them all a bit tipsy. George has his phone call with his wife and he gets all homesick and later tells Kim he is thinking of walking out.

Finally at the end of the show the hosts enter camp to tell them that eliminated today is….. no-one.

The X Factor 6 UK – Week 8

Posted in Graham's Blog, X Factor (The), X Factor 6 UK on November 30th, 2009 by World of BB

Saturday 28th November: The performance Show

I’ve just settled down on the couch ready for 2 hours and 45 minutes of TV watching and blogging. First off is week 8 of the X Factor. This week we are down to 5 contestants and each will be singing 2 songs. First of all it’s a Take That song. Note, the blog was written as the show was airing, so I didn’t know the results at the time I made the comments.

1) Danyl Johnson (sang Relight My Fire by Take That & Lulu)

Louis: Really talented, got his mojo back
Dannii: The verses were very pitchy
Cheryl: You made it look effortless
Simon: Foot perfect and not perfect, I’m very happy with it
My comment: For me he’s the weakest singer left in the competition, I didn’t think this was a great performance vocal wise.

2) Lloyd Daniels (sang A Million Love Songs by Take That)

Louis: Much improved, pretty good but not great
Dannii: You always put on a great performance, although the tuning was off in the verses
Simon: Sang it OK, must show fire in the eyes, it was mechanical.
Cheryl: Audience absolutely loved it
My comment: He’s growing week by week, I liked it a lot

3) Olly Murs (sang Love Ain’t Here Anymore by Take That)

Louis: You’ve got your confidence back, deserve to be in the top 3
Dannii: The sparkle isn’t quite there in your eyes
Cheryl: It’s lovely to here you sing
Simon: Did a great job, sang the song well
My comment: A brilliant performance, top quality vocals

4) Joe McElderry (sang Could It Be Magic by Take That)

Louis: It was magic, gets better every week
Dannii: Flying high, you absolutely smashed it
Simon: It was brilliant, you looked in control, you were the star
Cheryl: It was flawless, you deserve to be kept in
My comment: Best performance of the night so far, he is the best vocalist in the competition

5) Stacey Solomon (sang Rule The World by Take That)

Louis: Getting better, you are a really good singer
Cheryl: A challenging song, hard for a female to sing a male song
Simon: Better than last week
Dannii: An amazing performance
My comment: I liked it, but there are stronger, better singers in the competition

Round 2 of tonights performance show featured songs by Elton John.

6) Lloyd Daniels (sang I’m Still Standing by Elton John)

Louis: You didn’t look like you was having a good time, it was nice
Dannii: Fantastic performance but also a shaky performance
Simon: Not as good as your first performance, was more amateur dramatics
Cheryl: I’m very proud of you, I hope wales keep you in
My comment: Enjoyable performance, I thought it was worthy of the top 3.

7) Danyl Johnson(sang Your Song by Elton John)

Louis: You always bounce back. I loved everything about it
Dannii: Great version, much better than your first song
Cheryl: You looked comfortable and confident, it was good
Simon: It was sensational
My comment: It was OK but not good enough to make the top 3. I completely disagree with the judges.

8) Olly Murs (sang Saturday Night’s Alright For Fighting by Elton John)

Louis: There was something missing
Dannii: An absolute knockout, a smash
Cheryl: Did it really well, knock out performance
Simon: Great performance, you put your heart into it
My comment: Another great Olly performance, he looked like he was really enjoying it

9) Joe McElderry (sang Sorry Seems To Be The Hardest Word by Elton John)

Louis: You won round 1 and now you’ve won round 2, you were born to do this
Dannii: Sang it with the most passion, you have to be in the final
Simon: I’m gobsmacked by that, you’ve changed – the boy is now a man
Cheryl: You deserve a place in the final
My comment: He proves again that he’s by far the best, he has given the 2 best performances of the night

10) Stacey Solomon (sang Something About the Way You Look Tonight by Elton John)

Louis: I preferred round 1, but you should be in the top 3
Cheryl: Thought you did a great job
Simon: I didn’t like it, didn’t do you justice
Dannii: Brilliant performance, I really loved it
My comment: Better than her first song, but I think she is mainly getting votes because she’s the only girl left.

My order after today’s performances:

1) Joe
2) Olly
3) Lloyd
4) Stacey
5) Danyl

However, my prediction for who the public will eliminate is Lloyd.

Sunday 30th November – The Results Show

It’s Sunday night now and we come to the totally pointless results show.

From this week there is no bottom 2 or judges vote, it is the person who comes bottom of the public vote that goes. Why they need a one hour results show is beyond me. They could have easily added 15 minutes to yesterdays show and had the result then.

Anyway, after 47 minutes of padding, we get to the result. Lloyd is the one that finished bottom of the public vote and is eliminated.

Next week is Michael Jackson songs, and the last eliminated before the final.

There’s a poll that you can vote in on the right hand sidebar menu. Let me know who you want to be eliminated next.

TARUS15 – Meghan/Cheyne in First & Flight Time/Big Easy are eliminated

Posted in Amazing Race (The), Amazing Race 15 USA, Authors, Dan's Blog on November 30th, 2009 by Dan

TAR came on last night, and had just one episode to go. The four remaining teams all stayed in Prague, Czech Republic. In the roadblock, teams must have one person search through ringing telephones to hear the letters F R A N Z and arrange them to spell Franz, in order to recieve their next clue. Then, teams had to the Kryocentrum and spend two minutes in a Kryotherapy chamber in order to recieve their next clue. At Charles Bridge they were given their detour: build a golem (Legend) or serve beer to soccer fans (Lager). Strelecky Ostrov was the pit stop.

Meghan/Cheyne- They ran the entire race in first place, simply because there was no bunching up at all on this leg, they never left the city of Prague. They were fighting on the Golem detour, for a bit, but that’s because they have seemed to always fight or freak out on detours. They clearly got first place, again, winning 52 inch televisions. I think they have so much potential to win, but I still want Brian/Ericka to win. I’ll let them take second. However, if they do get first place, they’ll be tied with Nick/Starr (TAR13) for an amount of first place finishes.

Sam/Dan- During the race, they started with the detour, in which the one who was working on the detour, was working with either Flight Time or Big Easy on it and once Sam/Dan got the answer right, they decided not to tell the other person, despite the fact they were helping each other. This was again, another sneaky move from Sam/Dan, that they really didn’t need to start in the first place. They went through the detour screaming at each other, as usual, even worse than Meghan/Cheyne. They finished, however, and got second place.

Brian/Ericka- They started the race with a speed bump, in which they had to go to a night club and drink extremely strong liqour in order to move on. They completed it just fine. They got irritated with drunks off the streets stealing beer from them, while doing the detour, as Ericka was giving them some all-American attitude. They ended up getting third place, and the third spot in the final three. I want them to win, since they can easily come from behind, as they are good at that, and while they haven’t had first yet, I still see them as potential winners.

Flight Time/Big Easy- They struggled with the roadblock and the one competing, ended up taking a four hour penalty for not completing this roadblock. I seriously thought that was a dumb thing to do. It’s a five letter word, and you’re at the final four. Not a very good move, I’d say. They ended up choosing the detour, making it through that, and Phil tells them they’re in last place, and have been eliminated. I think they could have made it, especially if they chose the legend detour, but oh well. At least Brian/Ericka are in.

Now, I have some exciting news about the sixteenth season of TAR. It’s highly rumored that it will feature Jeff & Jordan from Big Brother 11, as a dating couple. I think this could be great, and I truly see potential in that team. Here is the information on Jeff/Jordan on TAR, and some brief descriptions of the other eleven teams: realityblurred.com/realitytv/archives/the_amazing_race_16/2009_Nov_29_lax.

Expeditie Robinson 2009 Netherlands/Belgium: Episode 13

Posted in Arthur's Blog, Survivor, Survivor 11 Belg-Neth on November 28th, 2009 by Art

After the voting, Dennis and Esmeralda are very angry. Marcel, Marina and Jeroen don’t dare to talk with the two and go to the sea to catch some fish. In the meanwhile, Dennis is complaining a lot about everything and makes fun of Marcel because he apparently doesn’t have friends waiting for him at home. Later, Jeroen goes to Dennis and explains him why he voted for him. Dennis is not happy with the explanation and says Jeroen has always said that he wanted to go to the finals with the strongest people and now went against his word. When all candidates are present at dinner, Marcel asks Dennis if he wants to talk. Dennis refuses, because he is angry Marcel didn’t come to him. Marcel says Dennis could’ve come to him if he wanted to talk, after which Dennis says he doesn’t want to talk and walks away. Before they have to battle in the elimination challenge, Dennis and Esmeralda promise each other that whoever wins, will do everything in their power to make sure that Marcel and Marina do not win the game.

The elimination battle is won by Dennis. Esmeralda is in tears when she has to leave, but is not angry anymore. She is happy with the things she achieved in the game and hopes Dennis or Rita wins. Dennis, because he is her best friend, and Rita, because many people underestimate her: they think she physically the weakest girl, but is mentally the strongest. When Dennis arrives back at camp, he immediately goes to Rita and complains to her about Marcel and Marina. Rita doesn’t want to hear this, she wants to spend the final days in the game in peace, without the constant gossiping, but Dennis keeps on going with the complaints.

During the challenge, the candidates battle for a positive vote at tribal council. The candidates have to hang from a pole. Marcel is the first one to fall, followed by Jeroen. Dennis and Rita are the final two in the challenge. The last one to fall is Dennis, so Rita wins the positive vote. Rita is extremely happy with the victory, it’s the first time she wins an individual challenge. Besides the positive vote, she also wins a stay in a hotel, where she can sleep, eat and go watch elephants, an experience she also enjoys.

At tribal council, the candidates discuss the voting for Dennis and Esmeralda again and talk about how difficult it is for Marina to not take part in any challenge because she already has a place in the final. But, after today she will not be the only person in the final. The candidates will vote for who will be the second finalist. Rita already has one vote, the one she won in the challenge. After this, the surprised contestants cast their vote: Marina votes for Marcel, because they have been friends since the beginning. Rita votes for Jeroen because she thinks he is the strongest player. The votes of Jeroen, Dennis and Marcel are not shown. When the host reveals the votes, it is shown that Jeroen and Rita both have two votes, while Marcel and Dennis have one. Because of the tie, Jeroen and Rita will take part in a challenge. The winner is sure of a place in the final. The challenge is a fire challenge: the candidates have to watch a fire. When the fire goes out, the candidates have to put their hand on a symbol. The first one to do so, goes to the final. When the fire goes out, both Jeroen and Rita put their hands on the symbol, but it is quickest is… Rita. With Marina, she is sure of a place in the finals. The three remaining men will battle next week for the third and final spot in the final.

For the voting, it went like this:
Dennis –> Jeroen
Jeroen –> Dennis
Marcel –> Rita
Marina –> Marcel
Rita –> Jeroen

(After the show, Marcel’s vote for Rita was shown, so only the second vote for Jeroen and the vote for Dennis are unknown and because people couldn’t vote for themselves, they must have voted for each other).

I’m A Celebrity 9 UK – Sam is voted out

Posted in Graham's Blog, I'm A Celebrity 9 UK, I'm A Celebrity GMOOH on November 28th, 2009 by World of BB

Episode 12: Friday 27th November
The episode begins with the contestants talking about who is being eliminated next.

Then they have to choose who will do the next bush tucker trial, which is called Scareway To Hell. They decide that as one of Sam, Jimmy and Sabrina will be evicted next, it should be one of them, and as Sam has already done a trial it should be either Jimmy or Sabrina. They draw straws and Sabrina is chosen to do the trial.

Then Kim has to stick her nose in and says that the decision is wrong and Jimmy must do the trial. There is a huge argument between Kim and Sabrina. But the end result is that once again Kim gets her way and Jimmy does the trial.

All this is bad news for Sam as Sabrina has got lots of airtime and sympathy out of the arguement and Jimmy will get lots of airtime from the trial. When it’s a vote to save, the public tend to vote for the ones they can see on screen and forget about the others.

At the trial, Jimmy has to cross a high-wire walkway to get stars. The stars will drop at various intervals and become inaccessible, so he has to be quick. At the end of the trial Jimmy gets 5 our of 9 stars.

Back at camp we are shown a series of clips themed about Geroge being a ladies man.

George also features in the celebrity chest which he does with Justin. They have to find 3 keys that are hidden inside hundreds or dead fish. They eventually get the chest but back at camp the chest question is answered wrong so they don’t get the prize.

The next segment is about Gino being horny all the time. Followed by the celebrities having a quiz.

Justin talks about how he dated a girl for a year before he met Colin and he said that he broke it off with her because it just felt wrong. Gino said that he once was very close to having a relationship with a boy but in the end nothing happened.

Elimination time, and as I thought, Sam was the one who was voted off.

All 8 remaining celebrities are now being voted for. The two with the least votes on Saturday will be nominated. They will then compete in a bushtucker trial called Jungle Jail. The winner will return to camp and the loser will be eliminated.

Survivor Samoa – Recap of the Recap

Posted in Authors, Dan's Blog, Survivor, Survivor 19 USA on November 27th, 2009 by Dan

In this special episode of Survivor: Samoa, they aired a “Closer Look” episode, literally giving us a closer look into the game. They didn’t vote anybody new off, and gave us a whole lot of new, interesting stuff to watch. This recap, however, to say the least, was the best episode so far this season. Here is some of the most remembered moments from this episode:

- Erik begins to make close ties with Russell S., with Russell as the leader, he feels he can be “second in command” or something like that. That’s actually a good strategy, to make good ties with the leader. Erik was a smart player, I wish he was still in the game.

- Russell H. was seen cuddling with Ashley on the first night. Yes, Russell is married and Ashley has a boyfriend, but their cuddling would’ve been beter than seeing Russell cuddle up with Ben. Russell and Ashley were cuddling like they were married to each other, however.

- Next, we see that Russell talks about not wanting to share food with the other camp members. He has his own papaya tree where he claims only he can eat at. He says he has no intention of feeding anyone else, as they aren’t his kids, and he’s not their dad. That’s what you call greedy. You’re not a family, but you’re a team. You can help you team out, that’s what a team is for, Russell, you idiot.

- After the second immunity challenge, we see that there was more than just Ben getting kicked out. We saw that Jaison was upset over being tackled by John. Does Jiason not realize this is a game where the producers were not clear on tackling rules, leting anything and everything happen. So, Jaison interrupted Jeff Probst talking, and makes a statement, telling John he’s coming after him. That’s never a good move to tell someone you’re after them, and that’s just more proof that Jaison takes things a bit more person than he should be. I can give condolences to what Jaison went through about his father, but this is a game, not real life.

- Next, back on Foa-Foa, we see that Russell did tell someone he’s a millionaire, he told Mick. That is a good way to earn tribal trust, but like Mick said, it could be used against him in the final two, or three.

- Next, we see Erik and a new rival: the emancipated chicken who was let out by Shambo. Erik decided to set up a trap for it, and later while Erik is away from camp, that chicken falls for the trap, and Shambo lets the trap go, capturing the chicken. Only late at night, we find Russell goign out and freeing the chicken, hoping to cause tension between camp life. I just wonder if Russell would let go of that chicken, if he had been the one to catch it.

- Next, we see that Dave was really pulling a dumb, pointless blunder by telling Shambo that she’s safe with Galu, and that the Galu tribe can carry her along. Shambo is upset, and immediately says she’s going to not be on board with a Galu alliance. I really thought Dave was a complete idiot telling Shambo she’s being carried by her tribe, and tells her she can’t be trusted. No wonder Shambo is in love with the Foa-Foa tribe. Way to go, Dave.

- Before Erik was voted off, just seconds before everyone left for Tribal Council, we learned that Brett was the last to know about Erik’s departure. Bret was probably the closest ally to Erik, since Russell S. was out, and I really like Bret’s try to be loyal to the guy’s alliance, and letting it go when he had no choice but to. I love how Brett’s loyal, that’s his strategy, I see, he doesn’t need to be the high and mighty puppet master yet.

- Lastly, we see this very irritating moment, when Shambo is grieving about her dead sister, and Laura was simply trying to comfort her in Laura’s brought up, spiritual way. Shambo says Laura was making her miserable, in which I didn’t see that. Shambo is really just against Laura, probably because they both want to be the alpha-female leader of their tribe.

That’s what basically happened, and what we saw. Next week, they showed up clips of what’s left to see, in which I remember Monica may come up with another train wreck, epic failure of a plan like she did last episode, Jaison, Mick, and Natalie making deals without Russell, and Russell and Natalie get into a massive fight. Here’s a little LLNMD list of the nine survivors currently left, below. And I’m curious to  know when this show is done. I mean, we’ve got to have at least four more episodes left, so I don’t know what Survivor is going to do. I feel-and would totally expect-a double boot somehow.

Love:

Like: Brett, Natalie, Mick, Jaison

Neutral:

Meh: Dave, Monica, John

Dislike: Russell, Shambo

I’m A Celebrity 9 UK – Jimmy, Sabrina and Sam nominated

Posted in Graham's Blog, I'm A Celebrity 9 UK, I'm A Celebrity GMOOH on November 27th, 2009 by World of BB

Episode 11: Thursday 26th November
First of all an apology. I didn’t realise that the episode was scheduled to start 30 minutes earlier than usual, so I missed the first half hour.

So starting from the point I switched on. Kim was talking about her hair and how it was disgraceful that the producers had removed her hair conditioner (it was removed along with all other luxury items when Katie entered). She made a huge fuss about it, but surely the producers wouldn’t back down and return it.

Next we are shown the latest celebrity chest. Gino and Sabrina are the ones that do it. They have to cross a ravine on a tight-rope to get to another camp. When they arrive at the second camp they have to move the hand of a clock back to 12 before it reaches the 6 (ie 30 minute point) and must do this until the following morning. So after staying awake all night, they pass the challenge at sunrise and win the chest which is full of tins of food.

Back at base camp and Gino finds a tick on his neck. Of course Joe has a doom and gloom story about how ticks can kill if they get onto the head and into the brain. Joe’s stories are annoying everyone.

Next we are shown a segment about George and him talking about all the Hollywood greats that he knows.

To answer my earlier question about if the producers will back down in their stand off with Kim and her hair conditioner. The answer was yes. Because the contestants were given a task of counting bugs and the prize was the return of their luxury items. They did rubbish in the task and only won 3 back (of course one of them was Kim’s).

The celebrities have a discussion about what they want to be doing in 5 years time. Stuart says he wants to be married with children. Justin says he still wants to be happy with Colin and for them to have children. Gino says he would like to adopt a little girl.

On to the elimination. Although there isn’t one, the contestants didn’t know this. The hosts go into camp and reveal who the bottom 3 are – Sam, Sabrina and Jimmy. But actually none of them were eliminated, rather they were nominated. The public will vote for which if these 3 will be eliminated (well actually its a vote to save, so they vote for who they don’t want to be eliminated). The elimination will take place tomorrow (Friday).

I’m A Celebrity 9 UK – Colin out

Posted in Graham's Blog, I'm A Celebrity 9 UK, I'm A Celebrity GMOOH on November 25th, 2009 by World of BB

Episode 10: Tuesday 24th November

The show starts off showing the camps reactions to Lucy’s eviction. It didn’t seem like many of them were shocked by the result.

The next bushtucker trial is called Slip and Slide and it was decided by the contestants who should do it. Stuart and Gino were chosen and basically they had to get inside two giant tubes that were balanced horizontally in the air and collect stars whilst keeping the tubes balanced. The trial didn’t prove to be a problem for the boys and the got 10 out of 10 stars.

Next, we head back to camp where Gino tries to get Sabrina to admit that she has fallen for Stuart. She acts all embarrassed and won’t admit anything.

George has a conversation with Stuart about who he thinks can win the show and he says nice things about Stuart. Stuart goes off on his own for a bit of a cry, he later explains that it brought back memories of his father who died a couple of years ago.

In the evening the contestants play a game of truth or dare. Whether the game was very tame or it was a short game, I don’t know, but they didn’t show much footage from it.

The hosts went into camp to announce the result of the second eviction vote. The two with the lowest votes were Colin and Joe and the one with the lowest votes was Colin. Colin left the camp, leaving behind a tearful Justin.

The result wasn’t really surprising to me. When it is a vote to save and 10 contestants to choose from it is either the disliked contestants (ie Joe) or the quiet ones (ie Colin) that get evicted.

There is no show on Wednesday due to live football. So the next show is on Thursday. I think that Thursdays eviction has been cancelled due to Katie walking on Monday, so the next eviction should be on Friday night.

As there is no eviction vote open, the public can vote for the next celebrity to do the next bushtucker trial. The trial is called Jungle Arms and looks like another eating bugs type trial.

It’s about time I did a list. So to steal Dan’s LLNMD scale:
Love: Gino, Justin, Sam
Like: George, Sabrina
Neutral: Stuart
Meh: Jimmy
Dislike: Joe, Kim

My prediction for the next one to go is Jimmy.

The X Factor 6 UK – Week 7

Posted in Graham's Blog, X Factor (The), X Factor 6 UK on November 24th, 2009 by World of BB

Saturday 21st November: The performance Show

The X Factor is in week 7 of the live shows and this week is George Michael week. Here’s a review of the judges comments of the contestants performances together with my own comments. Note, the blog was written as the show was airing, so I didn’t know the results at the time I made the comments.

1) Lloyd Daniels (sang Faith by George Michael)

  • Dannii: He looks fantastic
  • Louis: Love everything about him except his voice
  • Simon: Wasn’t bad at all, look better and believable, very good
  • Cheryl: Looks adorable, your best performance yet
  • My comment: Was a decent performance, not his best but should be good enough to see him through to next week.

2) Stacey Solomon (sang I Can’t Make You Love Me by George Michael)

  • Louis: Will definitely make the final 3
  • Cheryl: Great song choice, she could win
  • Simon: A genuinely nice person, not as good as last week, a bit mechanical.
  • Dannii: Elegant performance, dreams can come true
  • My comment: Last week she had the best performance of the show so far, not as impressive this week though

3) John & Edward (sang I’m Your Man/ Wham! Rap by Wham!)

  • Dannii: Wow! Singing was in tune and it was fun
  • Cheryl: Should be proud of yourselves
  • Simon: Louis gives you too much to do. You’ve converted people over to you
  • Louis: You are connecting with young people, the public love you
  • My comment: Another fun and entertaining performance from the twins

4) Danyl Johnson (sang Carleless Whisper by George Michael)

  • Dannii: Sang it perfectly
  • Louis: Tried too hard
  • Cheryl: Parts were flat but the image and performance were fantastic
  • Simon: Was so good, original
  • My comment: Has got a great voice, but I just didn’t like this performance. Tried to make the song different and it didn’t work

5) Olly Murs(sang Fastlove by George Michael)

  • Dannii: Really polished by first half had tuning problems
  • Louis: Nothing fake about him, has potential to win
  • Cheryl: Has broad appeal, always delivers, really enjoyed it
  • My comment: Very good performance from the front runner to win the show

6) Joe McElderry (sang Don’t Let The Sun Go Down On Me by Elton John and George Michael)

  • Dannii: Exceptional, deserves to be here
  • Louis: Best performance of the night
  • Simon: The performance of his life, 100% nailed it
  • Cheryl: Stole the show, I’m bursting with pride
  • My comment: Amazing performance, the best act left in the competition and deserves to be the winner
  • Joe received a standing ovation from all 4 judges

My order after todays performances:

  1. Joe
  2. Olly
  3. Lloyd
  4. John & Edward
  5. Stacey
  6. Danyl

My prediction for who will be in the public bottom 2 – Lloyd and Danyl with the judges voting out Lloyd.

Sunday 23rd November – The Results Show

The bottom 2 as voted by the public were John & Edward and Olly. I was very shocked Olly was there, as I thought he would be in the top 2.

John & Edward(sang No Matter What by Boyzone)

My comment: Sounded dreadful, big mistake singing a slower song

Olly Murs (sang Wonderful Tonight by Eric Clapton)

My comment: A solid, but not spectacular performance, definitely enough to go through.

  • Simon voted to evict John & Edward
  • Cheryl voted to evict John & Edward
  • Louis voted to evict Olly Murs
  • Dannii voted to evict John & Edward

So John & Edward are evicted by 3-1 votes. Although it may not be the last we see of them as there are rumours that they will fly to Australia to be contestants in I’m A Celebrity!

I’m A Celebrity 9 UK – Katie walks and Lucy is evicted

Posted in Graham's Blog, I'm A Celebrity 9 UK, I'm A Celebrity GMOOH on November 24th, 2009 by World of BB

Episode 7: Saturday 21st November

The episode started off with all the contestants in Base Camp moaning about Joe. Joe is clearly going to be the source of all the arguments this year, most of the others seem to get on well. But Joe seems to be intentionally saying things that annoy them all (maybe he was given this brief by the producers when he entered).

We move on to Katie and Kim’s trial, which is the eating trial that they have every year.

First, they have to eat a fish eye. Katie tries but spits it out and gives up. Kim manages to swallow it and wins one meal for Exile Camp.

Next they have to each eat a live cricket and a live cockroach. Neither have too much problem and both win a meal for their camps.

The third thing they have to eat is a kangaroo’s anus. Both manage to eat it, Kim downs it with ease.

Widgety grubs are next on the menu. Again both manage to eat one.

Finally, they each have to eat a kangaroos testicle. Katie refuses to even try it, and as this one is worth 3 stars, she misses out on 3 meals for her camp. Kim really struggles with it, but eventually she manages to eat it.

In the end, Katie wins 3 out of 7 meals for Base camp and Kim wins 5 out of 5 meals for Exile.

After the trial we are shown clips of how Kim talks to her clothes and there’s then some conversations about being a celebrity.

Next is today’s Bush Battle. Lucy, George, Kim, Gino and Sam compete in a fishing rod challenge where they must ensure that the ribbon tied to the line does not get wet. Kim and Lucy were the joint winners. Kim won the tie-break question and is immune.

Finally we are told the result of the public vote for the bush tucker trial. Joe and Katie get the most votes and again it is Katie that has to do the trial.

Episode 8: Sunday 22nd November

The first segment of clips centres around Stuart kept awake by Kim’s snoring. Then we move on to another bush tucker trial by Katie.

This one is called Car-lamety. She has to sit in a car that goes along a track and she must collect stars on the way. At the first stop a barrel of slime drops on her and amongst it she finds 3 out of 3 stars. Stop 2 and she has to eat bug food and shake, she gets 2 out of 3 stars. At the third stop she has to find stars amongst the spiders and cobwebs, she gets 3 out of 3 stars. Finally it is the car wash and again she gets 3 out of 3 making a total of 11 out of 12.

Later in the show we are shown the final Bush Battle for immunity between George, Gino, Lucy and Sam. They have to sit in a boat and ring a bell when they think exactly one hour has passed. Amazingly, George rings his bell and is only 2 seconds out, he is the final immune contestant.

  1. George = 59 min 58 sec
  2. Lucy = 67 min 13 sec
  3. Sam = 71 min 39 sec
  4. Gino = 71 min 48 sec

So Gino, Lucy and Sam are up for eviction and the public are voting to save. One will be evicted tomorrow.

After the bush battle we are shown a huge argument between Kim and Joe. Justin tries to calm things down but Kim just doesn’t let it rest.

Finally we are told that Joe and Katie got the most public votes and have to do the next trial. Katie says that she will refuse to do it.

Episode 9: Monday 23rd November

At the start of the episode Exile camp is no more and the contestants are all now in Base camp. Katie refused to do the trial and decided to leave the show completely.

As Katie has gone, Kim (who got the next highest number of votes) had to do the bushtucker trial with Joe which involved getting stars from a pit containing 20 black headed python snakes. They did well and got 9 out of 11 stars before the time ran out.

Next we get a long interview of Katie by the hosts. Considering Camilla who also quit, never got an interview, it was a bit off that they spent so much time on Katie. I think anyone that walks off the show does not deserve the airtime.

The hosts go into camp to reveal who out of Gino, Lucy or Sam is the first evicted. We are told that Lucy got the least public votes andhas to leave camp. We then get a very hurried interview with Lucy before they run out of time (thanks to Katies earlier interview).

All 10 remaining contestants are now up for eviction.

BB 5 Finland: week 13 and a little more

Posted in Big Brother, Big Brother 5 Finland, Isa's Blog on November 24th, 2009 by Isa ;)

Moi!

so i have two more week to go. this last week, 14, i hope to update u more. and hopefully im going to write something u wanna know.

as u know, the blog is “new”. love it! (just had to tell u guys that)

anyway, lets get going.

As I told u, one of the old housemates, Tuija, came back. She told everyone that she was the new HH, that she would now automaticly be in the finale and that she could take one housemate with her, so that the housemate would skip the elemination. The housemates took the info really good, everyone thought that it was ok. i was acctually suprised, i thought that someone would be jellous. but no.

This week Big Brother tried to spice things up a little. He started to show videoclips about the housemates, most of them were clips of someone, mostly Dana, talking crap about someone. As BB hoped, some of the vidos made people talk, they wanted to know reasons why some talked trash about the other. (ooh, did i make it sound to complicated)

But some of the videos were acctually kind of funny. Here u can find them all All from 20.11 Lotta & Sampo… until 16.11 Aso & Toni… They are talking finnish in the videos, so if u dont understand what they are saying, tell me the name of the video and i can translate the clip (hopefully)

The Baseballs visited the house and sang a couple song for the housemates. It was kind of fun. Or it looked like it.

The housemates were voting as usual, only this time it was fake. what they didnt know was that all were up for elemination and FOUR of them would have to leave. soo… First, at the beginning of Big Brother Talk Show, Vappu Pimiä (our lovely talk show host) told the other housemates that Tuija was only in the house for a week and could not win. I dont think noone was verry suprised, i think all had figured out by then that she was on a “secret mission”. hhaaha.

Then, the four housemates was eleminated, first both Toni and Stephania left, then shortly afterwards Dana followed them and then, what came as a shock for me, Sampo left the house. I was so sure and I hoped that Antti would have left, but noo.

So, the four finalists are, Kätlin, Esa A, Aso and Antti. the three first ones have been in the house the hole time, Antti arrived the 18th of October.

The favorites are Esa A and Kätlin. so, just guessing, but i think the order could be maybe like this, 4th Antti, 3rd Aso, but then, its either Esa A or Kätlin. hopefully, Esa A,2nd and the winner Kätlin. but thats just me. i’m hoping.

the new, and last week has started. nothing special happend yet.

TARUS15 – Meghan/Cheyne in first & Brian/Ericka in Last

Posted in Amazing Race (The), Amazing Race 15 USA, Authors, Dan's Blog on November 23rd, 2009 by Dan

In this leg of The Amazing Race, teams traveled to Prague, Czech Republic where they had to find a vintage praga in order to receive their next clue, which was a detour. In the detour, teams had to either go fast and furious (kayak through water to capture a flag) or slow and steady (zip line through a rope to get their next clue). Then, teams had to figure out what the flag was saying in which they had to go to Estates Theater where in this roadblock, the teams had one person search for a tiny musical instrument and had it to an opera singer. Castle Prague was the pit stop.

1st – Meghan/Cheyne -They pretty much ran this race in first place, finishing the detour first, they worked with the Globetrotters until Cheyne wanted to snatch a taxi, in which that got the Globetrotters, and even Meghan upset. At the roadblock, Cheyne found the instrument before Sam/Dan & Flight time/Big Easy, and before Brian/Ericka arrived, so they got to Check into the pit stop. They were team number one again, but proved that Brian/Ericka is this season’s nice team.

2nd – Sam/Dan -During the detour, they failed three time to row the canoe down the man-made river, so they ended up switching detours. After the completed the detour, they stole a taxi belonging to Brian/Ericka. I personally think that’s a bit wrong, to bribe a taxi driver, especially from a foreign country. I mean, you can’t do those things here in the U.S. They got to the roadblock, where one of them found the instrument before the Globetrotters did, andfought against them as the Globetrotters finished, in a race to the pit stop. They took second place.

3rd – Flight Time/Big Easy -They started the race with a strong follow with Sam/Dan & Meghan/Cheyne, where they finished the detour second, completing it, and then getting ditched my Meghan/Cheyne. I personally think I understand their point, if you promise someone you’d help them, you should do that or not make the deal at all. They found their way out of the roadblock, and came to be team number three.

4th – Brian/Ericka -They made a mistake by taking a train instead of a taxi, putting them a bit behind. They did okay on the detour, but got their taxi stolen from Sam/Dan. Then, after the roadblock, they came into the pit stop, where Phil tells them they can continue racing, they haven’t been eliminated. I was glad they were spared from elimination, I couldn’t lose two favorites in a row, by losing them and Laura from Survivor. They are mainly the only team I want to see win, and I feel they have a chance, they’re not way too far as underdogs.

Right now, I want Sam/Dan to get eliminated. I believe their competitive spirit of intimidating teams is not very necessary in a race like this. Teams should worry about themselves, not the other teams. The Globetrotters seem OK, but they really seem to take things personal, and act like they are always innocent. Meghan/Cheyne are doing well, and I think they’re doing too well, but I really still want Brian/Ericka to beat them out.

I’m A Celebrity 9 UK – Stuart wins immunity

Posted in Graham's Blog, I'm A Celebrity 9 UK, I'm A Celebrity GMOOH on November 21st, 2009 by World of BB

Friday’s show started off with a segment showing how the two camps are adjusting to the split.

In Exile Camp they deal with their hunger by catching, killing, cooking and eating a rat they found in camp. They all agree it tasted nice and had a chicken like taste to it.

The next part of the highlights shows Katie’s latest bush tucker trial – Hell Holes Extreme. She has to climb up a rock-face and put her arm into holes and search for stars. As well as stars are other creatures like beetles, spiders, rats, snakes etc. She manages to get 9 out of 12 stars. Which means 6 meals for base camp and 3 meals for exile camp.

After the trial we are shown a few clips of how Joe is starting to annoy everyone. Joe has lived in Australia for a number of years and thinks he knows everything there is to know about the Aussie jungle.

We then move onto the first Bush Battle. In the Bush Battles, the contestants in Exile Camp will compete. The winner will get immunity from the first eviction and will move to Base Camp.

This Bush Battle has then covering holes in a tube. If they move their figures the holes will be exposed and the liquid in the tube will escape. The last one with liquid in the tube will be the winner. George plays mind games with the others and convinces them that after the count of 3 they should all let go and quit the game. On the count of 3 Lucy and Sam let go, but George doesn’t and finds it amusing how easily they were tricked into quitting. Eventually Stuart wins the battle and is immune from the first elimination.

After the bush battle we see base camp welcoming Stuart and in the evening Joe moans about the way Sabrina cooked dinner. It ends up with Joe being nasty to Sabrina and making Justin cry!

At the end of the show we find out who the public voted for to do the next Bush tucker trial, which is called Vile Vending. Katie gets the most votes once again, and she will have to do the trial with the highest voted member of Exile Camp. Lucy and Kim were the top 2 with Kim getting the most votes and doing the trial. We will see Katie and Kim in Vile Vending during Saturday’s show.

That’s it for now. I’ll review Saturday and Sundays shows on Monday.

Survivor Samoa: Mick won Immunity & Laura voted off (5-5 tie)

Posted in Dan's Blog, Survivor, Survivor 19 USA on November 21st, 2009 by Dan

So, in Survivor it started with some tension of Russell playing the Idol last night and Kelly getting booted. Now, it seems that idol is going to be the dominating thing that gets people across. I just wish they had Exile Island, that’s better than everyone getting to look for an idol. OK, so During the reward challenge, they all had to carry one person along a rope structure to get flags. Five of them won, and they got to go via plane to another neighboring island and have lunch by a waterfall. They also received a video of where the next idol is.

At Camp, they all scramble around to find the idol, and behold, with no surprises, Russell found another idol, making this his third idol. Shambo automatically talks about not standing Laura, and hoping Laura loses immunity so she could vote for her. At the Immunity challenge, the survivors had to break a tile with a rock. If they hit a tile, they’d get to move on to throw a spear at a target board. Only John, Monica, Bret, and Mick got that opportunity. In the second half, Brett got two close hits, but Mick was closer, and he won.

Before Tribal Council, Shambo is telling her own Galu tribe mates she will be voting for Laura, so the vote was looking to be 5-5, as of then. Then, Monica tries to develop a plan to get the Foa-Foa tribe members to vote for John, trying to force a 5-4-1 vote. However, John heard of this plan, and disapproved of it, making him consider voting for Laura. At tribal council, the vote came out, and it was a 5-5 tie. Five votes went to Laura and Natalie. Jeff Probst automatically states in the event of another tie, everyone except Mick, Laura, and Natalie would draw rocks, in which the colored rock person takes the blame. At the second vote, John ended up switching sides and voted for Laura, and Laura was voted off.

I’m not Happy with Laura gone, simple because she was the rock to Galu, and John had to mess that up. I hope that John stands no chance of winning this game. It’s also painful to watch Laura lose to Shambo, who’s so stupid. I mean, she’s playing this game personal. She has sucked so much this game, simply because he probably doesn’t take the time to play with her tribe. Galu had several opportunities to have all of them still there, but they fall apart. John may have sided with Foa-Foa & Shambo, but I don’t see him staying with Foa-Foa, and he’s probably going to try to use Shambo as a good ally, and try to play Russell, have Russell think he’s staying with him, then boot Russell, downing Foa-Foa.

I really hope the Foa-Foa people stay together, and I hope to see Shambo & John make an attempt to go back to Galu, but see Foa-Foa burn them. Foa-foa has stuck together since the merge (3 rounds straight) and Galu has blindsided their own players (3 rounds straight). I want Foa-Foa to pull through. They got the best of Shambo, and John, now it’s time for Shambo and John to pay their own mistakes for turning on Galu. Foa-Foa is loyal to Foa-Foa, they are just getting on John and Shambo easily. Also, Monica had a price to pay, simple because she tried to get four votes to John, in which I would’ve never tried to put someone on my own tribe in a situation like that, because you can never do that.

Love: Mick, Natalie
Like: Jaison, Brett
Neutral: Russell, Dave
Meh: Monica
Dislike: John, Shambo
